Phillips Presents at IFPAC Annual Meeting

Dr. Marla Phillips, Director, Xavier Health, and Cenk Undey, Amgen, presented at the International Foundation Process Analytical Chemistry (IFPAC) Annual Meeting, held in Bethesda, Maryland, February 11-14, 2018.

Xavier University launched the Artificial Intelligence Initiative across the pharmaceutical and medical device industries to advance predictive capabilities in operations by augmenting human decisions with artificial intelligence. The presentation, "Advancing Manufacturing Predictability and Operations Insights through Artificial Intelligence" covered how industry professionals and FDA officials are working together to identify data sources to include in AI algorithms that can decrease risk in manufacturing operations.  The session included real-world industry applications that participants can implement in their organizations and provided insight on the realistic future of AI implementation throughout the global industry.
